Information You Need To Know

What are the local amenities such as pubs, cafes, local shops or supermarkets?

Valley View Pendle is set in a very rural location, we work in partnership with Hamish’s Cafe & Bar situated directly opposite, they open 9am – 5pm providing quality home cooked breakfast and lunches which can be pre-booked / pre-ordered or delivered direct to your glamping pod for a small surcharge.  In addition there is a lovely village, Barrowford, no more than a 10 minute drive away.  The village has many amenities such as pubs, wine bars, cafes, smaller supermarket, chemist, newsagents / post office, local butchers etc. It is an extremely picturesque and busy village.

Should you wish to venture a little further afield, 15 – 20 mins drive, there are more bars and restaurants along with larger superstores such as Sainsburys, Morrisons, Asda, Lidl and Aldi.

What things are there to do in the area?

Please refer to the things to do in the area page, here you will find some really great places to visit.  In addition to this there are numerous parks and recreational areas, a cycle track for those keen cyclists, horse riding activities and numerous stunning walks across Lancashire.

If you wish to venture further afield then there are many quaint villages and larger towns.  Please do ask in advance of your visit if there is something specific that interests you and we are more than happy to assist.

What time is check in and check out?

Check in is between the hours of 3pm – 8pm, each glamping pod is situated on land adjacent to the owners house, so check in has a much more personal feel. On check in we can assist with any luggage,  show you personally to your glamping pod and go through how everything works; along with giving you a run down of the area, and answer any questions. We do ask where possible you could let us have an estimated time of arrival, but we do appreciate this is not always possible.

Check out is 10am the day of departure.

On request we may be able to accommodate an earlier check in or later check out subject to availability; a surcharge may be payable in some circumstances.

Is wifi available?

Yes, wifi is available in all our glamping pods. However, please be mindful the service provided may not be similar to speeds you are accustomed to.  Rural living means you don’t get the normal speed as you would at home, so if you’re thinking of bringing a games console or plan to work as you would normally do at home then be prepared for  a touch of disappointment!

Is there a strong mobile signal?

Yes, 4g is widely available in the local area, however, being rural there are a number of black spots and different suppliers have different signal strengths.

What onsite facilities are available?

We have a veranda area with hot tub, seating area and sun loungers with a fire pit that can be booked out as part of your stay.  This is available on the book now page under extras.  We advise to book as part of your initial booking as it does get booked out quickly.

Are dogs permitted?

Yes, our pods are dog friendly.  This must be requested at the time of booking. We can only accept a maximum of 1 dog per glamping pod; a surcharge is payable of £10 per dog per night.

Is there a holding deposit payable?

Yes, we take a holding deposit of £100 per glamping pod on a credit / debit card. It is a holding payment only, the credit or debit card supplier usually releases the held deposit  no later than 7 days after departure.  This covers us for any damage, breakages or excessive cleaning etc. that unfortunately may occur during your stay, we do hope this doesn’t happen, but we appreciate accidents do happen.  We would never take a payment from the deposit without confirming the reasons why and the amount with you beforehand.

What do I need to bring?

All bedding and towels are provided within the glamping pods, we also provide dressing gown, slippers, cosy socks, throws, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries to make your stay that extra special.

Are there cooking facilities?

All glamping pods have an external BBQ, for a small surcharge we can provide disposable BBQ easy light grills, utensils, and disposable plates, cutlery etc.  All are equipped with a fridge / freezer and tea and coffee making facilities. Our larger glamping pods have a mini kitchen that comprises of a 2 ring gas hob, sink, combination microwave/oven/grill and all the relevant utensils, plates, cups and glasses.

Are there laundry facilities?

Unfortunately we don’t offer full laundry facilities on site, however, we have worked with a local business and can provide a drop off and pick up service.  Prices dependant on amount and are available on request. We appreciate that at times we can get caught out in a downpour, so we will assist where we can to help you dry out, a small surcharge may be applicable.
